A subtle and powerful portrait of repressed desire and the vital consequences it has on us. In "Thelma" we find a much more allegorical proposal that takes and completely embraces the Christian imaginary in order to subvert it and make it its own without exercising any moral judgment. Something like if "Rompiendo las olas" was said back to back with "Carrie" under the echo of Bergman.

Thelma is not an ordinary girl. Desperate, she insistently asks God why he has made her like this. Her parents aren't much help either, but two mysterious people who are calm before the powers shown by their daughter, who, every time she feels something, causes disasters. When Thelma begins a relationship with a colleague, the emotions of love will wreak havoc.
